20th June 4pm in the church building
This Sunday our church building hosted the first afternoon family service in a very long time! It was so exciting to see some of our families in person again and enjoy the crafts, activities, music and prayers together.
We all gathered in family bubbles to explore the theme of rejoicing led by Revd Jane and Revd Dom. They were joined by Revd Margaret who welcomed and did the blessing for this exciting service. During the craft slot we made pinwheels with words of joy and our prayers were put on flowers and stars of different colours and styles and floated in water.
Although we had to be careful to respect social distancing rules, stick to our bubbles, and wear masks, we didn’t let that stop us from sharing a covid-safe Holy Communion picnic! Families with children of all ages took part, rejoicing in this moment of worship and fun, hopeful that it is the first of many more.
This Sunday 27th June is our first 10am Worship service back in the building and we are looking forward to seeing everyone that can make it. There will be Children and Young People groups and we’re starting our sermon series, Frontline, about bringing our faith into every area of our lives.
