“I had been coming to church for a long time but the Alpha course took me to a different place in my relationship with God. It also brought me close to other people in my church family.”
Our 2020 Alpha Course at Christ Church East Greenwich ran from 7th January to 25th February, with a special Alpha Day on Saturday 1st February.
We had a great time sharing meals and discussing topics around the Christian faith.
The dates of our next Alpha course are still to be confirmed, but if you are interested in finding out more about the course then please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have held a number of Alpha Courses at Christ Church and they have been wonderful opportunities for people from the congregation and others to join together to think about life and what its all about.
Each Alpha evening begins with a shared meal followed by watching a 25 minute Alpha film together. Then we split into small discussion groups to talk about the film. This is a place where questions can be asked and issued of life and faith explored.
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.
