Holy Week is a quiet and sombre time as Christians recall the death of Jesus on the Cross and look forward to the joy of Easter, the most important festival of the Christian year. All are welcome to attend services and events during this period.
Palm Sunday
10am Holy Communion Service
Monday of Holy Week

Tuesday of Holy Week
Evening Prayer: 7.30pm at Christ Church East Greenwich, Trafalgar Road, SE10 9EQ
Wednesday of Holy Week
Evening Prayer: 7.30pm at the Holy Trinity Vicarage (please get in contact for more details)
Maundy Thursday
Meal followed by a service: 7pm at St George’s Westcombe Park, Glenluce Road, SE3 7SD
The meal will begin at 7pm on Thursday 28th March, and will be followed by a short service at about 8pm (you are welcome to come to either or both!). All ages are welcome.
The meal will be a lamb stew, with roast potatoes and vegetables. There will be a vegetarian option of mushroom risotto
Good Friday
Prayer stations: 10am-12pm at the Peninsula Prayer Space 2nd Floor, Aperture Building, 42 Chandlers Avenue, SE10 0GE
Family Craft Morning: 10am-12pm at St George’s Westcombe Park Westcombe Park, Glenluce Road, SE3 7SD
Hour at the Cross: 2-3pm at St George’s Westcombe Park, Glenluce Road, SE3 7SD
Hour at the Cross: 3-4pm at Christ Church East Greenwich, Trafalgar Road, SE10 9EQ
Holy Saturday
Pilgrimage on the Road to Emmaus: Meet at the Greenwich entrance to the foot tunnel at 2.30pm, finishing at Canning Town at about 4pm
We invite you to meditate on bible readings from Luke 24:13-35, walking partly in silence, partly in conversation.
Easter Sunday
Join us here at Christ Church at 10am for the most jubilant service in our calendar!
