“I love the relaxed and informal approach to worship at Christ Church. It is so accessible and really uplifting. I always leave Christ Church with a new spring in my step and a renewed sense of purpose and joy.”

Christ Church offers a space to meet with God and share in community. All are welcome as we enjoy and celebrate our rich diversity. Please feel welcome to join us at any of our services.
Our main service of worship is on Sunday morning at 10am. We also have a monthly 6pm Taize service on the last Sunday of the month. There is mid-week worship at our Holy Communion service on Thursdays at 12.30pm.
Here is our worship band singing and playing “What a beautiful name” in the service:
Sunday Worship
Our main service of Sunday worship at Christ Church is at 10am. The whole service is on a big screen and easy to follow and everyone is welcome whatever your experience or background – God’s love is for all and that includes you.
On the first Sunday of the month and on special festival days such as Easter and Harvest, the 10am service is specially designed for All Ages from baby to the oldest grown up. On other Sundays during term time, our Junior Church provides age appropriate activities for children from age 3 upwards and there is a staffed Crèche available for under 3s.
Junior church goes out and divides into different age groups during the singing of the first hymn and joins the rest of the congregation as we share the peace (3rd Sundays) or at the end of the service (2nd and 4th Sundays). You can take your under 3 up to the Crèche in the upstairs Chapel at any point in the service and leave them there or stay with them. There is an audio visual link to the worship space.
Midweek Worship
A mid-week service of Holy Communion in the church building on Thursdays at 12.30pm where everyone is welcome to join.
Morning Prayer takes place on Tuesdays online at 8.30am. We use Morning Prayer from Common Worship as a framework for our prayers and pray for all those on our prayer notice boards and notice sheet. Everyone is welcome.
