We had a wonderful Advent and Christmas at Christ Church: Carol services, Christmas Journey, All Age activities and more…
The advent season started with the Christmas Journey. Over 200 children from local schools came to the church to be immersed in the story of Christmas, meeting Mary in her kitchen, the Angel Gabriel, the wise men and even the animals in the stable!
There was plenty of music during advent, we had our Carols by Candlelight service as well as community carol singing in the East Greenwich Pleasaunce, lit by lanterns and warmed by hot chocolate and mince pies.
Our worship band played some beautiful carols and Ruth managed to play the piano outdoors during the snow!
As a Parish we raised money to give Ukrainian families food vouchers for a Christmas Dinner and the donations were enough to buy £700 worth of food vouchers.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were an exciting time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, led by Revd Dom and the All Age Worship team. We had so much fun seeing the nativity in fresh new ways.
